A Novel Rhombohedral Grid Based on Tetraorganodistannoxane as Corner Unit

Under hydrothermal conditions, the reaction of vanillic acid with trimethyltin chloride gives rise to a novel 2D rhombohedral grid, {([Me2Sn(VA)0.5]2O)2·2H2O}n (1), with a tetraorganodistannoxane as corner unit.
